Henry was the son of Dr.
Henry Francis
LeHunte Lyster and Winifred Lee Brent Lyster. He served with
the
Michigan
Naval Reserve aboard U.S.S. Yosemite during the Spanish-American War.
During World War I, holding the rank of Captain, he commanded
first the 641st
Aero Squadron, then the 94th Pursuit Squadron and the 1st Pursuit Group
of the American Air Service. In civilian life, Lyster was one
of
Detroit's more prominent attornies. This photo appeared with
his
obituary in the Detroit Free Press, Oct. 23, 1948.
