Judge Ross Wilkins (9 Feb 1799 - 17 May 1872)

Wilkins was prosecuting attorney of Pittsburgh at 21. In 1832, President Andrew Jackson named him a territorial judge for Michigan. After Michigan gained statehood in 1837, Wilkins became U.S. district judge, first for the whole state, and then the Eastern District, remaining on the bench until 1870.
